The book was recently nominated for a 2023 James Beard Foundation Book Award. Last year, Baraghani published his first book, The Cook You Want to Be, which draws on his Persian heritage and colorful career to offer home cooks a bevy of surprising recipes. Since then, he has worked at Estela in New York, developed recipes for top food magazines, and refined his distinctive approach as a roving chef. The celebrity chef and former Bon Appetit editor has been immersed in the culinary world since he was a teenager, when he spent long afternoons peeling onions as an intern at Chez Panisse. This is December and I can't believe I already have sweat pea volunteers, blooming irises and bulbs popping up all over. Many are great as light sconces or submerged in aquariums. The last times in my ceramic studio I was creating small sculptures with sea turtles, seahorses octopus and more. My Clay sculptures range from fish that are 5' to 5', hand sculpted fountains, art on porcelain tiles for pools and fountains etc. There I created many of the designs that I have expanded on today. Still living in Belize I opened a small ceramic studio in my apt. It's an amazing feeling when your mind and hands create together. Many of these studies have been incorporated into my Caribbean Shutter Series and Beach Landscapes.

I started painting my Caribbean Views on stretched canvas next. Painting began there after learning to Scuba Dive. I started painting on canvas squares that were then sewn into pillow covers and sold at a local art gallery. Seeing all the brightly colored fish, the pristine corals and the wonderful sounds made me become an artist. I was raised in San Jose California and am currently living there near my family. Prior to that I sold advertising after achieving a Psychology Degree from San Diego State.
